This is a difficult company to work for as a contractor. Eddie was friendly, but the check in/out and approval process is very informal. Eddie prefers to text directly, and as a company they seem disorganized, never really emailed us an updated work order once the work was approved, and they were late paying us. They also asked us to sign a waiver when paying for the first payment, but then not for the second payment, which was late. We we contacted to perform repairs to a AO Smith Cyclone boiler at a Gordon Food Services in Lima, Ohio. After our initial visit, we quoted repairing it and gave a parts/labor breakdown plus the travel fee. The majority of reviews on Google say that National Facilities Direct doesnt pay contractors, but they agreed to pay upon completion the same day of repairs. They paid the $125 travel fee for our initial visit, and they approved our price for us to return to repair the boiler. After the part came in, we returned on Thursday to fix it. After checking out on the completed work order, we had to wait a week before they finally paid.

CONTRACTORS BEWARE. Our families business has worked with National Facilities Direct (NFT) for quite some time. A year ago a job was done above and beyond to ensure everyone's safety. My husband sent in receipts and their consultant refused to pay. He cut ties with the company, left a review warning people that they had the potential to scam others out of their money too. This review must have been a thorn in NFT's side because a year later they called, claiming they wanted to make it right. They asked us for texts, photos, receipts, all communications that the job was completed, agreed to and we were owed. They implied that they would be paying, so we took the good leap faith and updated our review to praise them for doing the right thing and following through on their end. Since that review has gone up we have been informed they will not pay. The time this company has taken from me personally feels like I've been robbed along with stirring up old problems that they had no intention of resolving. My husband has spent 100s of hours completing jobs, and travel....time that I am missing out on spending with him. Forfeiting children's activities and missing quality time with them. Not to mention how it impacted us financially, we weren't able to go out and perform other work to make money and we're now behind thousands of dollars. They aren't interested in a working relationship, they are simply after the next schmuck they can bend over.
