In 2007 we were visiting NYC and just happened to walk past. A Fireman invited us in. My son 9, sat in the Firetruck 23 and we got a couple photos. Really nice experience. Nice Fireman.

Great firehouse, very historic and home to a single Engine Company. Nicknamed "The Lion's Den".

"Lion's Den". The guys were very friendly and happy to give us a tour of the bay and show us the Engine. Memorial wall to all the fallen crew members likely to stir up a few tears. **Must see the original bay door- removed during renovation, restored by the crews, and placed on the wall behind E23. Very cool piece of house history. Thanks guys!
