🔧 uBreakiFix - Phone and Computer Repair

I would NOT give this biz a single star, if I could. Took both laptops on on Friday, the guy who registered my laptops told me someone would give me a call within 3 hours (usually) to give me an estimate/quote. The repaid would take 3-5 days. I waited till the following Wednesday before I called them to get an update. The person who answered the call said he couldn't find any info on my laptop, then said he's adding the laptop on a technician's desk but there's no note on what the problem is and what's the diagnosis. He said he'll call me back when the technician comes back. I asked if he'd call me back on the same day itself, he said yes, before the end of that day. I waited till 6pm, no call. I went to pick up both my laptops back on Thursday. They tried for explain, but I wasn't in the mood to listen and insisted on getting my laptop back. I took it to another store a few blocks away. I don't know how this company gets all the 5 star review. How does the biz even survive with this type of customer service? Zero reliability, zero communication. Waste of my time.

These folks are extremely unprofessional. First, their store didn't open until 10:30am when I took an appointment for 10am. After waiting and requesting for my Pixel battery to be replaced, they took my phone and asked me to come back at 12pm. When I returned then, they told me they ran out of batteries yesterday. It is incredulous that they didn't inform such a basic thing right at the start. They didn't even help with figuring out which other stores may have replacement batteries. Given how unprofessional they are, Google should stop working with them.

I went to the Delancey Street uBreakiFix location to figure out an issue with my phone's charging, and hopefully get it fixed, too. Fortunately, Rafael (with assistance from a female colleague of his whose name, I apologize, I didn't get) ran some tests and concluded that I simply needed a new charger cable, putting my mind at ease as my phone was "only" 1-1/2 years old. Rafael was personable and engaging throughout the time I was there, and was always aware that I, like any customer, was concerned about what repairs might be needed, what their costs and "down time" might be, and how I'd hoped to not have anything else go wrong during the repair process. That I was there late in the day before a holiday weekend seemed to not hold him back from providing high-quality service to this customer. Thank you, Rafael (and Colleague)!

Rafael was so professional, kind, and patient while helping me resolve some software issues affecting my phone. He took his time, explained everything, and made sure the issues were addressed. It's great that you can book appointments, too! Highly recommend!

Great experience. My moms Pixel 6 screen wasn’t responsive. Came here for a quote the price was reasonable and he was able to remedy the screen in 45min. It was important that my mom’s data would still be there, which it was Woo! George was very helpful and pleasant. Thanks again !
